“I’ve been seeing Dr. Golbek for chiropractic care for several years, but about two years ago I made a decision that changed my life in a much deeper way. I decided to take my health seriously—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Terrified but hopeful, I joined his small group fitness class.
Up until that point, my relationship with health had always been complicated. I had lost weight and exercised before, but it was always tied to disordered thinking. As a mom of three in my early 40s, I knew I wanted something different. I didn’t want to feel like an 85-year-old woman every time I got out of bed—but I also didn’t want to spiral into unhealthy patterns again. I carry a lot of trauma around exercise, and because of that, Dr. Golbek truly had his work cut out for him.
On my very first day, I think I cried more than I moved. Instead of pushing, fixing, or minimizing my experience, he simply sat with me. That moment set the tone for everything that followed. Dr. Golbek is steady, grounded, and deeply knowledgeable, and he created a transition into health that felt safe, effective, and—something I never thought I’d say—fun.
This part feels especially important to say: as a woman, it matters to feel safe and respected in a fitness and clinical setting. Dr. Golbek strikes a rare and perfect balance between professionalism and genuine tenderness. He is clinically excellent, emotionally aware, and always appropriate. I never once felt judged, rushed, or reduced to a body or a number.
Two years later, I can confidently say I’m never going back. I feel better than I have in decades. More importantly, I trust my body again. I’m able to push myself in ways I never knew were possible—and for reasons that actually matter. I’m not working out for a pant size, a number on the scale, or even a personal record. I work out so I can carry groceries without getting fatigued. So I can lift my kids’ bikes into the back of my van. So I can sit on the floor and play with them while they’re still young.
I want my body to do what God designed it to do—to move well, to be strong, to support the life I’m living. Movement Cube has helped me get there, and Dr. Golbek has been a huge part of that transformation. I am endlessly grateful.”
